FAQ’s For Microblading

Please Note: All micro-blading tattoo procedures require a face-to-face consultation, if not a virtual consultation prior to having the procedure done. All factors must be assessed before determining if you are fit for having this procedure done.

*You will receive a text message reminder 3 days prior to your appointment. You must confirm your appointment by replying to this text. If you do not reply ‘YES’ or confirm your appointment with the Lana Tarek Team, your appointment will be subject to cancellation.

*If you cancel your appointment within 24hrs of your appointment or fail to show up to your appointment without notice, you will be charged 50% of your booking total.

*Prices, products and availability are subject to change without notice.

*During peak season (December), ALL booking require a 50% deposit to ensure there are no last minute cancellations.

HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING LAST?

Microblading results last anywhere between 6-24 months. We offer this time frame because the longevity of results is correlated to many individual and lifestyle factors such as how well you follow aftercare instructions, exposure to the sun, exercise and skin type.

DO I NEED A CONSULTATION FOR MICROBLADING OR ANY COSMETIC TATTOO PROCEDURE?

All microblading and cosmetic tattoo procedures require a face-to-face consultation. We also have the option of a virtual consultation via email correspondence. Consultations for microblading and cosmetic tattoo treatments include a $100 fee deducted from the outstanding balance.

WHAT SHADE OF PIGMENT WILL BE APPLIED DURING THE PROCEDURE?

Pigment shade differs from client to client. We examine a range of hues that will suit your skin tone and eyebrow hairs and base pigment choice off this analysis during the consultation. If you find that you are unsure of what pigment shade you want to go ahead with, we are happy to offer our professional advice for a shade that will compliment your skin tone.

IS A TOUCH-UP NECESSARY?

We offer a complimentary touch-up for microblading and cosmetic tattoo procedures following a 4-6 week timeframe, post initial treatment. This is for clients who respond well to pigment retention. For clients who have oily skin and participate in activities that involve swimming in chlorine water, constant exposure to the sun and exercise frequently, a touch-up is recommended every six months for microblading.

CAN I DO MICROBLADING OR ANY COSMETIC TATTOO PROCEDURES WHILST PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING?

We do not recommend microblading or cosmetic tattoo procedures whilst pregnant or breastfeeding.

IS MICROBLADING PERFORMED WITH A MACHINE?

The beauty of this procedure is that it requires no electronic machine. We use a hand tool and blade, whereby we stroke and deposit pigment under your skin following your hair growth direction. Think of it as needles that do not penetrate the skin but delicately scratch the surface.

HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

All bookings can be made online, by phone or by email. Email responses can take 1-2 days to be responded to; hence we recommend booking online for your convenience.

DO I HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT?

All microblading and cosmetic tattoo procedures require a $300 deposit to secure your booking. We have a 48-hour cancellation policy that applies. If we are notified before 48 hours, we can reschedule your appointment. However, if you cancel or and fail to provide 48 hours notice, your deposit will be forfeited.

CAN YOU TOUCH-UP MY BROWS THAT ANOTHER ARTIST HAS COMPLETED?

This is a common question we get asked, and unfortunately, we are unable to “touch-up” another artist’s work unless the pigment has dramatically lightened. We offer saline and laser tattoo removal to lighten old pigment and create a blank canvas for us to work with.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED FOR SALINE OR LASER TATTOO REMOVAL?

We recommend a minimum of 3 sessions to see satisfactory results in pigment reduction. However, the number of sessions is dependent on how deep and old the pigment is.

WHAT IF I PREFER NOT TO MICROBLADE OR UNDERGO A COSMETIC TATTOO PROCEDURE — WILL THE PIGMENT FADE?

We recommend that it is best to leave the brows untouched if you do not want them to be removed. The pigment will begin to fade on its own and disintegrate. If the pigment is quite dark, then we can provide saline or laser tattoo removal to speed up the fading process.

I HAVE NEVER DONE MY EYEBROWS, AND I AM UNSURE AS TO WHAT PROCEDURE WOULD COMPLEMENT MY FACIAL STRUCTURE. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

We recommend booking a consultation to discuss what you would like to achieve for your brows. We will be more than happy to offer our professional opinion regarding what would complement your facial structure. Whether it is a more prominent arch, longer brow length or 3D effect appearance, we can cover such things in the consultation and provide you with a number of options.

WHAT IS THE AGE REQUIREMENT TO COMPLETE MICROBLADING OR A COSMETIC TATTOO PROCEDURE?

Clients need to be over the age of 18 to consent for their own treatments. However, procedures are accepted if parental permission is granted.

WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER FOR MEN?

All services are gender-inclusive. We also have a scalp tattoo artist that specialises in cosmetic tattoos for men’s scalp in the salon.

DOES YOUR SALON ONLY PROVIDE BROW SERVICES?

No. We offer lash, skin and scalp treatments. We also offer injectables and IV drips.

DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?

We love to welcome clients where possible. However, we are an appointment based salon, and we appreciate it if you book your appointment, opposed to walking in.

HOW CAN I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT WITH LANA AND WHAT IS THE ESTIMATED WAIT TIME?
